It's been a few days since my Day 30 blog. 806 days, even. But who's counting! In review, quite a lot of things have happened since the 21st of April 2020. The best moment was England nearly winning the Euro2020 final and the worst moment was England losing the Euro2020 final.
That was some day. Entertaining fact (if you didn't already know) but due to COVID, Euro2020 was actually postponed and then played in 2021, instead. And what a crazy summer that was.
Tables of 6 people as a maximum booking, being drowned in the finest European beers whenever England scored. Heading into Leicester Square after every England win to celebrate with thousands of other England fans as we progressed through the tournament. Climbing statues and walking about London draped in England flags, reeking of beer. Sensational.
I met a wonderful girl from down under and then lost that wonderful girl from down under.
I got ill, got better, got ill, got better, got vaccinated, got ill, got ill, got ill. I moved out and now have imposter syndrome to deal with, too. It's passing, though.
J.Cole dropped an album that almost made my AirPods catch fire, as per usual. Kendrick Lamar finally released another quality album too. Kanye West went a bit wild again, but I think he's okay now?
Oh, a war started between Russia and Ukraine, with Russia threatening to bring a nuclear apocalypse to fruition, so you know, nothing major on that front.
Also, the British Parliament is collapsing as I type and the United Kingdom is on the verge of becoming 4 separate nations again for the first time in hundreds and hundreds of years.
The price of a slab of butter is reaching the heights of a night in the Savoy Hotel and I don't think I can afford petrol anymore unless I take out a sizeable loan and potentially sell a vital organ.
806 days ago, I was moaning about Trump, lockdowns, lockdown protests and how whenever I left the house for a daily jog, I would somehow end up amongst everyone from my town, desperately dodging them and any potential diseases they carried. After all, the rules were to stay home and only leave for an hour's exercise a day. Mental, wasn't it?
Deep breathes. Calm thoughts. Breathe in through your nose, hold for 5 seconds and release. Okay, we're back.
806 days later, you may still be wondering how I'm doing? I'm happy to say I'm still maintaining a good PS4 to Netflix balance.
